Court Denies Motions to Dismiss Claims Against Short Sellers and Other Defendants for Manipulation of Price of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited Securities

On September 7, New Jersey Superior Court Judge Deanne Wilson ruled in favor of Kasowitz client Fairfax Financial by denying 10 motions to dismiss that were submitted by the defendants, a group of prominent American hedge funds and money managers.  Fairfax claims in the lawsuit that the hedge funds were engaged in racketeering and unlawfully profited from short selling Fairfax Financial's shares. Kasowitz partners Marc Kasowitz, Michael Bowe and Albert "Shemmy" Mishaan are the lead lawyers for Fairfax Financial.
