Waste Management Files Lawsuit Against SAP for Fraud in the Licensing and Implementation of Defective Software

Kasowitz is representing Waste Management, the nation’s largest waste and recycling company, in a lawsuit it filed on March 20 in Harris County, Texas against leading enterprise software companies SAP America and SAP AG.  The complaint alleges that the SAP companies defrauded Waste Management into licensing, and spending $100 million to implement, SAP software that the SAP companies knew was defective.  Kasowitz New York partner Mark P. Ressler, who has prosecuted a series of successful cases against software companies and consulting firms stemming from failed software implementation projects, represents Waste Management in this action.
