Kasowitz Obtains Dismissal of Affirmative Defenses on Behalf of Employer in Action Against Former Employee

On September 21, 2009, New York Supreme Court Justice Eileen Bransten granted Kasowitz's motion on behalf of Williams Real Estate Co. Inc., a commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm, to dismiss all of defendants' affirmative defenses.  The action by Williams against a former employee and others seeks damages for their fraudulent misrepresentations and breach of employment agreement in soliciting a client of Williams and collecting brokerage commissions on the sale of two commercial buildings for a combined $40 million.  Kasowitz partner Mitchell Schrage and associate Joshua Siegel represent Williams in this action.
