Kasowitz Files Defamation Lawsuit on Behalf of Energy Contractor Against Venezuelan Bank and Its President

Kasowitz is representing Derwick Associates, a leading equipment and service provider to power plant companies, in a lawsuit filed September 13, 2012, in Miami against a Venezuelan bank, its chairman and another director.  The suit seeks $300 million in damages and alleges that the defendants created and spread knowingly false and defamatory information concerning Derwick and its founders on an Internet website www.Wikianticorrupcion.org "for the intentional, unlawful and malicious purpose of attempting to injure and destroy Plaintiffs' personal, professional and business reputations."  Kasowitz partners Hector Torres and Maria H. Ruiz, represent Derwick in this matter.
