On December 1, 2017, Kasowitz partner Michael C. Harwood participated in a panel discussion highlighting non-profit management expertise at the 2017 New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards, organized by the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NPCC).

Mr. Harwood serves as Co-Chair of the Board of the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), the world’s first and leading provider of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy.  At the award ceremony, GMHC received one of NPCC’s three gold medals awarded for excellence in non-profit management.  The gold medal recognizes excellence in non-profit management with innovative and replicable practices, as determined by a 29-member selection committee based on an intensive nine-month vetting and 360-degree review process of all applicants’ management practices.
