Hollywood Reporter Names John V. Berlinski a 2020 Power Lawyer

Kasowitz Benson Torres partner John V. Berlinski has been recognized as one of Hollywood’s top attorneys by The Hollywood Reporter on its “Power Lawyers 2020: Hollywood’s Top 100 Attorneys” list.  The annual listing spotlights attorneys who are negotiating the industry’s biggest deals and navigating its most impactful litigation.

Mr. Berlinski, Chair of Kasowitz’s Entertainment Practice Group, is one of the go-to entertainment lawyers representing top actors, directors, television, film, and music producers, talent agencies, video game distributors, and others, in their most significant disputes.  Mr. Berlinski’s recent notable cases include achieving a $179 million award, the largest arbitration award ever issued in a profit participation dispute on behalf of Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, the stars of the long-running hit TV show “Bones,” and its producer Kathleen Reichs.  He also secured a favorable settlement in 2019 for Genting Malaysia Berhad, a leading international gaming and resort company, in its billion-plus dollar legal dispute with Fox Entertainment and The Walt Disney Company.
