American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists Honors Marc E. Kasowitz with 2024 Pursuit of Justice Award

Marc E. Kasowitz is being honored with the 2024 Pursuit of Justice Award by the American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists (AAJLJ).  The AAJLJ's annual award recognizes distinguished jurists and attorneys who exemplify the Biblical dictate “Tzedek, Tzedek Tirdof,” meaning “Justice, Justice shall you pursue.”  Past recipients of the award include U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan.

Mr. Kasowitz will be honored for his continued commitment to justice and advocacy for human rights of the Jewish people.  During the past year, Mr. Kasowitz has been leading the representation of numerous Jewish and Israeli students at Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia and NYU, in a series of groundbreaking lawsuits alleging violations of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which include acting with deliberate indifference to the hostile antisemitic educational environments, including pervasive acts of discrimination, harassment and intimidation, to which their Jewish and Israeli students have been subjected.

The awards reception will take place on December 10, 2024 in New York City.  Tickets or sponsorships may be purchased here.

The AAJLJ is a national nonprofit association representing the American Jewish legal community.  The organization educates and advocates around critical issues such as: civil rights, human rights, access to justice, social justice, Israel and the Rule of Law, Holocaust issues, and Jewish Law.
