American Lawyer Ranks Kasowitz among the 2021 Top Law Firms for Pro Bono
Kasowitz Benson Torres has once again been ranked as one of the top law firms in the United States for pro bono work in 2020 by The American Lawyer in its 2021 Pro Bono Scorecard of AmLaw 200 firms, ranking the firm at 67 overall. The firm is ranked 59 in average pro bono hours, devoting 57 hours per attorney to pro bono work in 2020. In addition, the firm is ranked 71 in breadth of commitment, with almost half of the firm’s attorneys devoting 20 or more hours to pro bono in 2020, a significant increase from 2019. Kasowitz’s award-winning pro bono program is led by partner David J. Abrams, Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, and counsel Teresa Matushaj, Deputy Chair.
