Kasowitz Announces 2025 Partner Promotions

Kasowitz Benson Torres is delighted to announce that Matthew S. McElroy and Amit R. Vora have been promoted to partner.
Matthew S. McElroy: Mr. McElroy represents private equity funds, developers and institutional and private lenders and investors in a broad range of real estate transactions. He has significant experience in the origination of mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans across all real estate asset classes. He regularly counsels lenders on loan sales, purchases, and syndications, including intercreditor and co-lender arrangements. Mr. McElroy is based in the firm’s New York office.
Amit R. Vora: Mr. Vora’s practice focuses on complex litigation in federal and state courts, with a particular emphasis on appellate litigation. His experience includes representing companies and individuals in commercial, securities, and intellectual property disputes, and matters involving constitutional and public interest issues. Mr. Vora has filed scores of briefs, including in the United States Supreme Court, and he has presented numerous oral arguments before federal and state courts of appeal. He previously served as Assistant Solicitor General with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and as a fellow and supervising attorney in Georgetown University Law Center’s Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic. Mr. Vora is based in the firm’s New York office.
