Kasowitz Joins National Law Firm Antiracism Alliance
Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP is pleased to announce that, at the initiative of its Diversity & Inclusion and Pro Bono Committees, it has joined the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (LFAA) as a charter member. The purpose of the LFAA is to “amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, and to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color and to promote racial equity in the law.” To date, approximately 145 law firms across the country have joined the LFAA.
Since its founding in 1993, Kasowitz has adhered in its hiring and advancement decisions and its firm culture to the principles of fair and equitable treatment for all, and as a member of LFAA, Kasowitz will devote substantial resources to continuing to further and strengthen those principles both within and outside the firm. As part of these efforts, Kasowitz will attend a summit this summer hosted by LFAA for law firm leaders, pro bono professionals and diversity and inclusion professionals to address antiracism issues and formulate initiatives to combat racism in the legal field and society generally.
