Kasowitz Benson Torres partner Paul M. “Tad” O’Connor III moderated a panel discussion titled, “The Race to the Top: The Evolution of Tenant Expectations & Leading the Competition for Global Talent” as part of Commercial Observer’s “State of CRE” forum, which focused on the strategies for winning market share in a changing economy. Mr. O’Connor, along with leading commercial real estate executives Thomas Bow, Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing, The Durst Organization, Chris Schlank, Co-Chairman and President, Savanna, Colleen Wenke President and Chief Operating Officer, Taconic Partners, Tyler Vermette, Head of Global CRE Partnership, HqO, and Jonathan Schwartz, Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of New York Capital Markets, Walker & Dunlop, discussed the impact of the redistribution of employee talent, how adding amenities to older properties has become the industry standard to meet the demands of the flight to quality, and how work spaces need to be designed to promote connection rather than simply collaboration among workers.
