Paul M. “Tad” O’Connor Participates in Real Estate Panel at Commercial Observer’s State of Multifamily Forum
Kasowitz Benson Torres partner Paul M. "Tad" O'Connor III participated in a panel discussion titled, “Office to Multifamily Conversions: Wishful Thinking, or The Sector’s Silver Bullet?” as part of the State of Multifamily Forum hosted by the Commercial Observer. Mr. O’Connor, along with Chris Balestra, President and Chief Investment Officer at Taconic Partners, Douglas Hayden, Founder, President and CSO at Arthroto, and Ken Horn, President and Founder of Alchemy Properties, discussed the advantages and challenges of the office-to-multifamily conversion process and the zoning and governmental changes that are needed to overcome the obstacles. They also spoke about the lender appetite to fund these costly conversions.
