- The Relevant Group, owner of several hotel properties and food and beverage venues located in Hollywood, CA (including the famous restaurant Mother Wolf), in numerous related litigations in both federal and state courts disputing ownership of these hospitality venues and their associated IP; successfully negotiated resolution of all disputes.
- Benefit Street Partners, a leading credit-focused asset manager, in post-bankruptcy sale dispute over scope of intellectual property rights acquired relating to fine dining restaurant chain and brand, Il Mulino, obtaining a preliminary injunction in the Southern District of New York to stop ongoing use of Il Mulino trade dress by previous owner.
- Chinese EB-5 investment firm in arbitration against one of the world’s largest commercial real estate developers, bringing breach of contract claims for failure to pay tens of millions in fees owed for packaging $150+ million in EB-5 loans for multi-property, mixed use commercial development in Manhattan.
- Zama Capital Partners, a private hedge fund, in breach of contract litigation in Southern District of New York against Tokyo-based Universal Entertainment Corporation (“UEC”) arising out of UEC’s failure to close SPAC transaction valued at $250+ million and list subsidiary Okada Manila Casino on U.S.-based exchange.
- Cottonwood Group in breach of contract litigation seeking recovery of unpaid fees owed by borrower for failing to close on large commercial real estate loan.
- A leading real estate investment management firm in enforcing rights as lender of $100+ bridge loan for refinancing and capitalization of a large office building in Manhattan.
- Owner of large, mixed use commercial development in New York City in several commercial lease disputes and foreclosure proceedings against commercial tenants.
- Real-World Asset cryptocurrency company in ownership dispute with co-founding partner; achieving successful removal of co-founding partner as shareholder prior to fundraising round increasing company’s valuation exponentially.
Prior to joining Kasowitz:
- Trial counsel in successful defense of Jackpot.com against trademark infringement, dilution, unfair competition and related claims in the Southern District of New York, obtaining post-trial judgment, upheld on appeal, in complete favor of Jackpot.com on all counts.
- Chapter 11 Debtor Rockdale Marcellus in proceedings seeking to reject exclusive and onerous gas gathering agreement with adversary UGI Texas Creek, achieving successfully negotiated resolution of rejection dispute which allowed debtors’ bankruptcy plan to move forward.

- Saft America in bringing claims in Eastern District of New York against a competitor for misappropriation of trade secrets related to smart, lithium ion 6T military vehicle batteries, achieving successfully negotiated resolution and settlement.
- Several privately held pharmaceutical companies and a high net worth owner in successful defense of a $225 million civil RICO, breach of contract, and fraud action in Delaware District Court.
