Sondra D. Grigsby’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. She primarily works on major complex commercial cases, arbitrations and mediations in diverse areas of law including fraud, antitrust, securities, white-collar criminal defense, and bankruptcy. Sondra also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract and defamation cases, including second-chairing a successful breach of contract jury trial.
Sondra also devotes time to pro bono work, and has regularly represented clients in fair housing and immigration matters.
Sondra was awarded a 2022 40 Under 40 - Nation’s Best Advocates Award by the National Bar Association and was selected as a 2022 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow, a program that identifies high-potential diverse attorneys for leadership positions in the legal profession and offers participants training on developing leadership and relationship-building skills. Sondra also coordinates the firm’s mentoring program, in partnership with the Justice Resource Center, with the Law Institute at John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, New York. This program provides students with resources to encourage academic achievement and exposes them to job options in the legal field.

- Teva Pharmaceuticals, and its U.S. subsidiary Actavis, in defense of antitrust actions commenced by the State Attorneys General for 48 states, 28 civil antitrust class actions and multiple direct actions, consolidated in an MDL in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania that alleges price-fixing of over 100 generic drugs.
- Harbinger Capital in restructuring its $2 billion investment in LightSquared, including related litigation by Harbinger against Dish Network and the FCC.
- The indenture trustee for the pre-LBO notes in the Tribune Company bankruptcy.
