Kasowitz Partners Speak at 2023 General Counsel Conference East

Kasowitz Benson Torres partners Mark W. Lerner, Paul M. “Tad” O’Connor III and Jessica Taub Rosenberg were featured speakers at Corporate Counsel’s General Counsel Conference East.

Mr. Lerner and Ms. Rosenberg hosted a roundtable titled “Employment Litigation Trends,” discussing trends in employment law and litigation, including the legality of non-competition agreements, the use of non-disclosure agreements in sexual harassment cases, employee classifications, and pay transparency.

Mr. O’Connor moderated a panel titled “Reshaping the Legal Profession: Thriving in the Age of Generative AI & ChatGPT.”  Mr. O’Connor, along with Ilona Logvinova, Associate General Counsel at McKinsey & Company, Alesya Nasimova, Director and Associate General Counsel of Product & Privacy at Brex, and Jordan Thompson, General Counsel at Penn Foster Group discussed Generative AI and its impact on the legal industry.

The conference took place on October 2, 2023 in New York City.

Mark W. Lerner, Co-Chair of Kasowitz’s Employment Practices and Litigation group, is a leading employment litigator and former federal prosecutor who regularly litigates and counsels clients on non-competition agreements, employee raiding and lift-outs, discrimination and harassment claims, theft of company information, executive compensation disputes, terminations and lay-offs, and wage and hour actions. 

Jessica Taub Rosenberg, Co-Chair of Kasowitz’s Employment Practices and Litigation group, is a leading trial lawyer and former prosecutor who represents employers and prominent senior executives in employment-related litigation, including in defense of claims of discrimination, retaliation and harassment; and enforcement of employment contracts and non-competition covenants.  She routinely conducts internal investigations and advises clients on employment policies.
